What Are Your Spring Colors?

Traditionally, when you think of Spring the colors that come to mind automatically go to pastels. What if Spring switched it up this year?  I collaborated with Bonobos to put some outfits together that feature both muted and brighter elements.

Outfit 1

jacket - Forever21 // tank - Aeropostale //
skirt - Forever21 (similar) // booties - Famous Footwear

This outfit puts a new perspective on Spring-wear.  As you can see, none of these colors are pastel.  (Of course that will be made up for later) This outfit focuses on subtle floral patterns and an unexpected pop of color.  This outfit is perfect because this jacket is light but is perfect if you don't feel like wearing a jean jacket.

Outfit 2

jacket - Old Navy // dress - Charming Charlie's //
shoes - White House Black Market

First of all... I love these shoes!  They're so over worn, but are perfect for so many occasions.  This outfit is so cute because it uses mine and the rest of the world's favorite color.  Pink is probably the only color I've seen lately, and I don't mind!  I also added a jean jacket for the times the wind gets a bit chilly.

Outfit 3

skirt - Modbe // shirt - Forever21 // flats - Target //
 headband - Forever21

Being the "girliest" of the three, this is naturally my favorite.  It features my favorite color to wear, a super cute chambray skirt, and the prettiest headband that I own.  I mean, who needs a necklace when you have a headband with pearls.

Current Favorites // January 2017

I figured I won't be keeping up with monthly favorites anytime soon, and I've been loving this products for a few months now.  I decided to just write a current favorites post that could cover everything I needed!  The blog has been a little dry lately, and I can't help but use the school excuse.

L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation - This has been a staple in my winter base routine.  It's thicker than most foundations, but not nearly as heavy as the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation.  The color is a little light for me (Classic Ivory), so I always make sure to mix in a darker foundation.  Also, to hydrate my skin and blend in the product, I use a face oil instead of a traditional primer.  I know this product has been getting mixed reviews, but I highly suggest you try it out if you're on the oily side.

Naked Palette - I got this unexpectedly for Christmas, and I'm ashamed to say it.  I never go this palette and was never interested, but I love everything about it now that it's in my hands!  I've been loving taking the shimmery brown shades and blending them all over the eyes.  Every shade is extremely buttery, and none of them are patchy.  My favorite shades to use at the moment are Sidecar and a mix of Half Baked and Smog.

Brow Combo - I think I've found my holy grail brow combo, and they are both from Anastasia.  I've been using the Dipbrow Pomade to fill in and shape the arch and the Tinted Brow Gel to set everything.  My eyebrows are already pretty thick, but I like to use a highly pigmented product to draw the arch and a gel to set them.  Although these products are expensive, they will last you for about forever.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  Tell me your current favorites down below!

Day to Night look with Vegas.com

There is nothing I love more than a makeup look that can easily transition from day to night with little effort.  Contrary to what you may think, you can change the entirety of a look by changing up the lip, or adding a pop of color.  Vegas.com is looking for come creative ideas on how to transition makeup from day to night in the Sin City. Using the hotels and package deals page, I got started right away on what I would use to inspire my looks.

For my looks, I chose the Flamingo hotel.  I couldn't get over how eye catching the colors were, and I just knew it had the perfect palette for what I was going for.  For both day and night, I used the same foundation, bronzer, blush, and brows to make it simpler.  The whole point of a transition is to be speedy and not have to do much!

Look One: Day
For during the day, I always like to go with a light neutral eye.  I didn't want to make this look too eye catching, so I could focus on the lip color.  I used a matte brown for the crease, and the same shade in a more shimmery texture for the lid.  I then used some gel eyeliner to make a thin line on my upper lash line because I knew I could build it up later.  For my lips, I wanted to play into the fun colors of the Flamingo.  I wanted to save the bright lips for later, so I opted for a lip gloss instead of a super pigmented lipstick.

Look Two: Night
This look involved me exaggerating everything I had done for during the day.  I didn't change anything for the eyeshadow, but I did turn my thin liner into a graphic wing!  To play off the lights on the hotel, I lined the top of my wing with a teal gel liner.  I've never done this before, and I absolutely loved the turnout!  The lips are where the heart of this look comes from, though.  The Flamingo captures your attention with its hot pink exterior, so it just seemed right for me to top off this look with a crazy hot pink lipstick.

Top 5 Favorite Statement Necklaces

Welcome back to the blog!

So sorry for the long absence.  School has been kicking my butt, again!  Hopefully, there will be none of that for a while since exams are done for now.

Today, I wanted to show you what my all time favorite statement necklaces are.  I didn't choose there for any particular season, but I do find myself gravitating to all of these throughout the year. Statement pieces are extremely important in a wardrobe.  I think they can oomph up any outfit if you don't know what accessories to wear.  One way I love to wear these is with a plain tee or sweater. The piece you choose instantly becomes the highlight of your outfit with little to no effort or thinking.  It's a great choice for those times you wake up and have 10 minutes to get everything together.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I hope you love these necklaces as much as I do.  Link your favorites down below! Don't forget to contact me at...

Lusting For... BeYindi

Welcome back to the blog!

Today I wanted share with all of you one of the most beautiful jewelry companies I have ever come across. BeYindi is a jewelry brand focused of sterling silver jewelry with semi-precious gemstones, pearls, corals and crystals.  Many items in the collection are handmade, originated from Thailand and made by local masters. This company tries to follow the latest trends in jewelry and keep their collection up-to-date meanwhile still there are a lot of classical designs and ethnical motives.

Yindi” means happy in Thai language. Why Thai? Because Thailand is known as a land of smiles. People are happy in Thailand no matter what. The company's founder thinks this is what we are missing in our daily life – simple little things that make you forget about stress and endless rush, tiny details that make our life beautiful. Happiness is right here, many people just don’t see it.

To showcase some of my favorite items, I created a wishlist because I couldn't choose just one to share with all of you!

Weekly Style : Sweater Weather

Welcome back to my blog!

This week the weather finally took a turn for the best.  The temperature finally went under 60 degrees, and that means I can break out my favorite sweaters and high socks.  This time a year is where my inspiration flows.  Sometimes I think that Fall and Winter are the only times my outfit making skills are comprehensive.   I chose some pieces that I could really transition my closet with and were versatile with the cold weather in the morning and the warm weather as the day went on.
