February 2015 Favorites

Hey guys!!
Sorry I haven't been on a lot lately.  I haven't had much time to blog!I decided to make my first favorites post. Just something quick and easy.

This month I received a beauty blender from my February BirchBox, and I was a little skeptical at first. I'm always looking for ways to speed up my makeup application, considering the small amount of time that I have to get ready in the morning.  I'm completely hooked! It helps me blend out my foundation perfectly.
Onto foundation… This month I decided to take the tip: wear as little powder as you can during the winter.  So I tried not putting on a finishing power, and CoverGirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation did not disappoint me.  This foundation gives JUST enough coverage and doesn't make my face oily at the end of the day at all. (I have combination skin.)
I guess I was on a face kick this month because my next favorite is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Exposed.  This is beautiful! I've never had anyone compliment me on my blush before until now.  AND it stays all day, which also never ever happens.
For nails, my favorite was Essie Raspberry.  Check out where I talked about it here.
Last up in beauty was Taylor Swift's Incredible Things perfume.  This. Is. So. Pretty.  It has tones of musk and vanilla, and it has been my staple scent.

This month I let go of my burgundy and black obsession, and switched it out for a softer look. Nothing much to say about these two pretties except for that they are gorgeous.

(sorry, this choker was bought SO long ago from a company I don't remember)

(I got mine from H&M. I couldn't find a link to the jacket, so I'm not sure if it's still for sale. :( )
Literally an hour ago I finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.  I don't want to spoil the book at any means, so I'll leave it off with this book is in my favorites for a reason.
Another book that i've become quite fond of is this Walk Disney World Imagineering book.  I love the concept of Imagineering, and I'm looking to become an engineer, so this stuff is really quite interesting to me.  It comes filled with all of the concept art from all different Disney things.

Thanks for reading!
What's your favorites this month?

Outfit Of The Day #1 AND Face Of The Day #1

I didn't feel like making two separate posts for this so I just combined them.
Sorry, couldn't find any of the other clothing items.  They're just a plaid red, cream, and blue flannel from Forever21, and a feather collar necklace from PacSun.

I applied Maybelline Baby Skin as my primer, and then Covergirl's Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation in 115 Buff Beige with a damp beauty blender.  I then set it with Rimmel Stay Matte Power in 001 Transparent with my Real Techniques Powder Brush.  For blush, I applied Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed, which I've been wearing  a lot lately.

For primer, I wore Sonia Kashuk's Extreme Wear Eye Primer. As I base, Clinique's Chubby Stick in Ample Amber.  Then I pulled out my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette.  I put Burnout on my lid, Darkside in my outer corner, Liar in my crease, and Strange as my highlight.  Also, i applied a little but of Dust on my lower lash line.  I put NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk on my tight line and set it with Strange (also part of the Naked 3 Palette).  I made a small black line with the Benefit They're Real! Push Up Liner, and applied Maybelline Great Lash Lots Of Lashes Mascara.

I moisturized my lips first with an EOS Lip Balm.  Next, I mixed NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul and one of the Forever21 Velvet Lipstick Trios.

Swatch Saturday #1

I decided to start a new series… Swatch Saturday!  Every Saturday, I'll swatch a product and give a mini review.

Today I decided to swatch my favorite polish at the moment. Essie Raspberry is described as a "dazzling purplish red polish."  (Great words, Essie.)  I just love this color!!! It goes on opaque with 2 coats and has almost a jelly look to it.

Don't forget to leave requests for next weeks Swatch Saturday!

Forever21, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, and Victoria's Secret Haul!

I've had a rough past few days, and I had some gift cards to spend, so ultimately this bundle was created.  ps. Apparently I was on a pastel kick.

Bath and Body Works
First off, I got the Love and Sunshine Fine Fragrance Mist and Body Lotion. This is definitely one of my new favorite scents! Maybe my signature Spring scent???

Victoria's Secret

Here's a place I don't go to a lot.  The things in here just don't jump out at me, so I just got some makeup and a scent (the usual).  I bought PINK's Surf's Up Beach Spray Lotion, which smells like mango and orchid. Woo. I also picked up some stuff from the Beauty Rush line. I got a Strawberry Fizz Flavored Lip Scrub, Minty Shine Lip Gloss, Sparkling Punch Gilded Glow Flavored Gloss, and Flavored Shine.  I'm really excited to see if these lip products actually hold up against some of my other glosses.  Im especially looking forward to trying the lip scrub.
Okay. I must admit that this item shouldn't really have happened.  I needed to stop into to find a necklace for a present for a little girl, but they had this whole wall of chokers and- well, my weak point.  I have 2 other chokers: one rhinestone one and a black velvet one.  So, I figured this would even out my collection. (Plus the sunflower is SO ADORABLE!)

And for the big finale… So much clothing.  Forever21 honestly gets me every time.  I go in with $100 and leave with an empty wallet.  Never fails.  Now they had just got their shipment for their spring collection, so I was running a 5k around the store.  I ended up with a Pencil Skirt in Blush, Light Pink Flower Headband, Hunter Green Dress (this is my favorite! I also have it in navy. It's made of sweatshirt material and it's so comfy! Plus POCKETS!!!!), Dark Denim Dress, Yellow Cami Dress, and a velvet lip gloss trio.

To wrap this up, thank you for everyone who checks out my page! PLEASE spread the word, that would be really cool.  Comment below if you'd like any reviews, swatches, or anything else. Tell me what you'd like to see! I was thinking of making a spring lookbook, and possibly adding in some of these pieces!

Thanks for reading :)
