Swatch Sunday #2

Happy Fathers Day!  I hope all of you are making sure all your Dads are having the best day.  I just slipped aside to write this real quick, because yanno you can't miss a swatch Sunday!

Today I've swatched Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker (oh my) lipgloss in Punch Bowl.  I picked this up when Sephora had, or still has, all of their Soap and Glory products on sale.  I love this lipgloss! It smells super sweet like cotton candy, so I wasn't expecting the plumping tingly feeling.  I was literally so surprised!  I've realized that it stays on all day though, which I haven't found in lip glosses too often! Only downside is the insane stickiness of the product, which I honestly don't mind one bit.

Have a great day and thanks so much for reading!  I hope you liked my post.
Have you used this before and what do you think of it?

Empties #3

Welcome back to the wonderful world of my trash.  Glamorous, right?  My basket of goodies as filled up recently, so I decided to share my thoughts with you once again.

Dickson's Original Witch Hazel On The Go Refreshingly Clean Towelettes - I used to use Witch Hazel from a bottle, but I hated the hassle of having to put it on a cotton ball or tissue.  Huge mess = huge problem.  I found these, and everything has changed.  I love using makeup wipes, and these are super similar!  I've already bought two more boxes.

Yes to Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Wipes - Speaking of makeup wipes…. here we are with my holy grail product!  I've had these in a post before, and I'll never stop buying them!

Vasanti Brighten Up Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator - I received this sample in a BirchBox a few months back.  I've never really used fancy shmancy exfoliators, so I wasn't' really sure what I should be expecting.  I did like how it wasn't too rough, nor too smooth.  Let's hope next time I find an exfoliator, it'll show me what it's got!

Burt's Bees Peach & Willow Bark Deep Pore Scrub - This wasn't a bad wash, but I really disliked the texture.  The exfoliator beads went everywhere, so it got a bit messy.  I will not be repurchasing this.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cool & Crisp Fresh - This has to be the most hyped hair product I've ever heard of. (okay, aside from the It's A 10 Spray)  I really disliked dry shampoos and didn't think they actually did anything, but this product has changed my mind!  Aside from the great scent, I can actually see the difference in my hair!  Now, I can go another day without washing and feeling gross.

Nicel Ultra Smooth Shace in the Shower Gel in Strawberry Melon - Let me start off by saying that this product smells great. The downside is, that's probably the only upside to it.  It left such a film on my hands and legs, that everything would just slip out of my hands.  If it didn't do that, I'd be repurchasing.

The Body Shop Shea Body Butter - Body butter is great, but it's not great when it's sticky.  That's the sole reason I love this product.  There is almost no trace of scent and it keeps my legs moisturized nicely.  I won't be running out to get it, but if I'll pick it up if I happen to come across it.

BeeKind Conditioner - This conditioner was too thin for me, being I have really thick, frizzy hair, but the smell was really citrusy and refreshing.  I can't really tell whether I like it or not from the sample, though.

Maybelline the Rocket Volum' Express Mascara - I ahd such a love hate relationship with this product.  At first, it was too wet for my liking. But, then it dried out a bit, and worked fabulously.  I can't wait to repurchase it.

Maybelline FitMe Foundation in 120 - This is one of my favorite foundations because it's so dewy and stays on all day.  I have repurchased this foundation, but unfortunately I think the formula has changed along with the packaging.

Thanks so much for reading!  What products have you used up lately?
Have you used any of these products and what did you think?

Swatch Sunday #2

Happy Sunday everyone!

I'm thrilled to say that tomorrow is my last full day of school until Summer break!  I'm so happy that I will be less stressed and more likely to be posting!

Today I swatched the femme couture smokin' eyes shadow stick.  This is in the color taupe

This product is pretty pigmented for the price I got it for, but can drag a little bit.  It does seem to have some pretty long staying power, though!

Thanks for reading! Have you tried these shadow sticks?

Nail Picks : June

Schools almost out!  I can't wait to have more time to post and have better quality posts.

Every month, I like to pick out 12 of all my polishes, and those will be the twelve I wear all month long.  I'll go to my nail polish bucket,  close my eyes, and pick 12 random ones out!  I feel like this lets me rediscover polishes I've forgotten that.

Polishes Picked:
  • marshmallow by essie - "a cloudy sheer white, perfect for a french manicure."
  • Snow Me White by Sinful Colors - basically a plain white polish, I use it A LOT
  • just stitched by essie - "this warm pearly-plush pink sews up any look from casual Friday to creative couture" **Remider : this is a matte!
  • Dust Up by butter london - "Gold, silver & bronze chunky & fine glitter overcoat suspended in a clear base."
  • Raspberry Sorbet by elf - a dark berry color that's great for Fall, but berries are very "in" this Summer!
  • bahama mama by essie - "anytime is the right time for warm deep plum polish. creamy and rich this tropical beauty works winter, spring, summer or fall – gorgeous is always in fashion."
  • essie in stitches - "cheeky, blush pink polish knows just how to work it. this elegantly tailored nail lacquer moves seamlessly from day to night and has the neutral nail look all sewn up."
  • essie rose bowl - "life is a bowl of roses. get ready to jump in – pretty feet first – adorned in this blushing and creamy pinkish-red nail lacquer."
  • OPI Do You Lilac It? - "Light purple with attitude!"
  • Sinful Colors Let's Meet - A classic yellow which doesn't look weird on the nails.  Who knew I like yellow nail polish???
  • essie turquoise and caicos - "frolic in the sublime waters of this flirty polish. vibrant, tropical aqua nail color refreshes mind, body and fashion wardrobe."
  • Nina Ultra Pro Electric Slide - this is a very sheer, bright lime color.  You need a bunch of coats to cover a nail, but it's fun to layer it over different polishes!
Thanks so much for reading!  What polishes are you wearing this month?

May Favorites 2015

Hey there everyone.

It's so weird to say that June is finally here, when I feel like I was saying just the same about May!  I wanna start off my saying May is definitely not a favorite, being the time where I'm rushing to get all my final projects and assignments done.  It's just so hectic, and I'm not as good as I thought I was dealing with stress.  In the midst of all the mayhem, I've managed to pick a few products to make my month a tad more enjoyable!

Express crystal Earrings and Forever21 Crystal Necklace - How cute is this duo!?  I wear them together almost everyday, and they're simple enough to pair with many outfits.  I also like the neutral color, which is weird because I'm not usually attracted to browns.

Yankee Candle Fragrance Spheres in Macintosh  - Since I'm not allowed to light candles in my room, I must find other means of… fragrance.  Room sprays to me can be overbearing and make me sneeze, and wall air fresheners don't really do much for me.  This here, is a perfect medium.  It's a cute container filled with little squishy spheres that are drenched in fragrance.  If you know me, you'd know that my apple scent obsession is a little out of control, so this is right up my alley.

European Wax Center Eyebrow Powder in Venice - Never before have I ever filled in my eyebrows until now.  I used to believe that my eyebrows were too bushy and dark to improve, but I was proven wrong!  I love making my brows look even, and I think that they look so much better!

Parlor Moisturizing Sea Salt - I received this spray in last month's BirchBox and really didn't expect much.  Usually, sea salt sprays do nothing for my hair other than make it unmanageably frizzy.  Cute, right?  Wrong.  This spray does something different, though.  I spray it in my hair when it's dry and I can say comfortably that I finally know what it means to have a "hair texturizer."  Every time I use it, I love the way my hair looks.  I think I'll be purchasing the full size of this.

Mascara Duo: L'oreal Telescopic Mascara and Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara - This is an odd duo for one reason : I don't particularly like either of these mascaras alone.  The L'oreal one just adds length, and the Maybelline one only adds some curl.  When I put these together, boom, magic happens.  I really like wearing these mascaras, but I wish I just liked them alone.

Hope you enjoyed my May Favorites!  Thank you so much for reading.  What products did you like this month?  Can you suggest a good brow product for me to use that won't break the bank?

Swatch Sunday #1

Hey everyone!

As you can see, I've switched over my blog.  My old looked reminded me of something too juvenile, so I cleaned up a bit and focused on a more minimal look!

Also, I've decided to change Swatch Saturday to Swatch Sunday.  Saturday's are so hectic to be, and I never get anything posted.  Swatch Sunday will last longer, I promise.

This week's swatch is the Wet & Wild MegaLast Lipstick in Think Pink.  I have such mixed feelings with this product.  My first initial thoughts in the drugstore were, "Hey! This looks like a nice neutral color!" When I got home from the store I immediately tried it on, and it turned out to be a little cool toned for my liking.  It was a little chalky, so it's important to exfoliate and hydrate your lips.

Overall, for the price this lipstick is pretty okay, but I need to make sure I wear a warmer lip liner when I wear it.

Hope your Sunday is going great!  Have you tried this lipstick?
What are some Wet & Wild products that you recommend for me?

Current Spring Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Happy Saturday!

Today was so eventful!  I went up to North Jersey to visit my Grandmother who I don't get to see a lot.  We ate at my Dad's childhood hot dog and burger joint, and it was cool to have my parents get excited about something that hasn't changed for them.  My Grandmother also gave me a gold chain necklace that's absolutely stunning.  It's perfect for me because I love simplicity and gold!

I wore this makeup look today and for the past few days.  I think it's so lightweight and simple.  The eyes are such a hit for me.  I never use pencil liner, but lately a faded wing is super attractive to me.  For my lips I also went pretty neutral with a glossy lip balm.

Products Used

  • Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Pro Primer in 002 (sorry this didn't make it into the picture.  I honestly don't know what happened.) I like using this primer because it hydrates as well as protects with SPF.
  • The Skin Transformer Treat and Conceal Miracle Concealer in Medium - When I used this product I cant believe my eyes.  It covers so well, and a little goes such a long way!
  • Revlon ColorStay Concealer in 002 Light
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent
  • bareMinerals Eye Brightener in Well Rested- This is another one of those "miracle products."  By using only an extremely small amount of product, I can achieve the most brightened under eyes I've ever seen.  I guess that's the point, right?
  • Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Peach Satin
  • European Wax Center Brow Powder in Venice
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
  • Forever21 Cream Eyeshadow in Shitake - Nobody ever talks about Forever21's premium makeup line.  Sure, some of the stuff can fall flat, but this shadow is one of my favorites!  It's such a beautiful mauve and stays all day.
  • Max Studio Eyeliner Pencil in Sparkly Black - I use this on my upper and lower lash lines and draw a small wing.  I then smudge it out for a less harsh line.
  • Palladio 4D Boost Herbal Volumizing Mascara
  • Sonia Kashuk Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour in sheer berry
I hope you enjoyed my post!  What did you do this Saturday?
What is your go to makeup look?

May Playlist

Once again, I'm so sorry for my absence.  I know it's only Wednesday, but let me just tell you: This has been the most stressful week of my life.  You may think I'm exaggerating, but I can assure you I'm not.  Has anyone had a time where once they get rid of one task, they get piled on with five more?  It's not a fun time.  Either way, I didn't want to disappoint, so I decided to share with you my favorite songs of May.

Collar Full // Panic! At The Disco
Favorite Record // Fall Out Boy
Fourth Of July // Fall Out Boy
Jet Pack Blues // Fall out Boy
Twin Skeleton's (Hotel In NYC) // Fall Out Boy
You May Be Right // Billy Joel

This month is a bit of a shortie.  I've obviously loved some punk, with a splash random appearance of Billy Joel.

Thank you for reading!  What have you been listening to lately?
