Swatch Sunday #6

Yanno what I love about living right by a Sally's Beauty Supply?  Well the obvious answer: the makeup!  But also, it's super convenient to spot all the sales!  I can go there with just $10 and come out with at least 12 products.  Everything is dirt cheap, and this is how I came across this Sunday's product.

This week I chose Femme Couture's get rosie lip and cheek stain.  This product is such a toss-up for me.  Sometimes I love it and sometimes I just feel like passing.  There are also a bunch of pros and cons, like how I love the color but I hate the smell.  The wear time is alright, but you do have to layer a lot on the lips.  Also, I love the two sided packaging of this.

Thanks so much for reading!  I hope you loved my post.  What do you want me to swatch next week?  What other posts would you like to see?  Have you tried femme couture's get rosie lip and cheek tint?

August 2015 Favorites

Well well well, I'm back.  I took an unexpected break, which probably should've been expected.  Last week I started my Sophomore year, so I'm just getting situated with the new school year.  Also, this weekend I was booked with events with my boyfriend.  I'm very happy to be back and should be posting more frequently!

Although we are already halfway through September, I've decided that I couldn't miss the last favorites of the Summer.  August was definitely a fun filled month, so I have a lot of favorites to discuss with you!

Legend by Marie Lu - Of course during the Summer schools just can't give students a break, so they make us read books and write reports.  Luckily for me, this is a good excuse to find some new great reads.  One of the books I read was Legend, which is a dystopian novel set in the future.  I love this genre, so I knew instantly this is right up my alley.  I loved how the book switched between point of views and how the author could really capture the characters' personalities.  Each chapter has a huge cliffhanger and kept my attention nicely!  I highly suggest this book to anyone who likes the concept of dystopian societies.

Sephora Smoky Cream Liner in Statue Bronze - Funny story: when I got this product I used it as a cream eyeshadow and always wondered why it was so hard to blend and take of haha!  Oh 13 year old Jess was so ignorant.  Anyway, now that I actually know how to use this product, I love it.  It is such a pretty color when I'm going for more of a natural and neutral look.  It stays on all day and is super creamy and smooth.  I guess it lives up to its name!

Mascara Combo : Top L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza Mascara Bottom L'oreal Telescopic Mascara - I cannot stand the Telescopic Mascara on it's own, but when a pair it with a drier mascara that curls, I love the results.  The mascara really lengthens the lashes and the Butterfly Intenza builds up volume.

Yankee Candle Sugar & Spice Fragrance Spheres - If you've read my blog before you obviously know I'm obsessed with these.  I  can't have actual candles so these are the next best thing.  The smell of this candle completely like fall, which I am so ready for.   I'll be collecting these for a long time.

Some quick other favorites that I don't have pictures of are:
  • America's Book of Secrets
  • matte nails
  • gold nails
  • Bridezillas
  • twitter
  • John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16
I hope you enjoyed my post!  I'm happy to be back in the swing of things.
