Swatch Sunday #10

Happy Swatch Sunday!

Today I swatched one of my absolute favorite blushes.  It is the Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Blush in Natural.  I'd have to say, this blush is anything BUT natural.  It first came with a shimmery overspray but after about a few uses it goes away.  (Or you could do it my way and just wipe it off...)

This blush is extremely pigmented and lasts a good amount of time for a drugstore product.  It's a warm, peachy color, but doesn't make your skin look too harsh.  If you don't like scents, I'd stay away from this product.  I'm not sure if it's from the argan oil, but its sort of that scent plus a hint of strong perfume.  All in all, I really like this blush, and I need to take it out of my stash more!

Have you tried this blush?

Weekly Makeup #2 : Pink Flamingo

This week's makeup look was all about the lips.  I haven't used my L'oreal Pink Flamingo lipstick in a while and decided to go for a lip focused look.  I kept the rest of the face pretty much neutral, and added a strong wing.

Week of 7/11/16 - 7/17/16

Monday...

was a chill day.  I did some summer work and wrote some blog posts.  See my Weekly Makeup: Airy Glow here.  I also cleaned my desk.  It feels good to be organized.

Tuesday...

I woke up early for my tennis lesson. and I also volunteered at the hospital.  I later went to my brother's all star baseball game where they lost 9-10.  They had a great season, though!  After, my family and I were invited to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings.  I ordered a delicious buffalo chicken wrap.

Wednesday...

I did a lot of schoolwork.  I had a horrible headache the whole day.  It was miserable, but I had to push through.  I did end up doing a get ready with me / tutorial of my blog post earlier in the week.  Shameless self promo here, but add me on snapchat @jlpesso for more.  My favorite thing about that day was the frozen hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts my mom got me.  Heaven in a cup, my friend.

Thursday...

I once again had to wake up early for my tennis lesson.  It was such a great one, which means my first school practice on Monday will hopefully reflect.  The rest of the day I did more research for my school project.  In case you didn't know - which most of you probably didn't - I am researching Radio Frequency Identification, which is used in Disney MagicBands.

Friday...

I woke up early, surprise.  I had to get blood work done, though, so a little different plan.  Since I couldn't eat anything before, I went to Dunkin with my Mom, and this time I had a vanilla coolada.  I guess I had a change in heart?  Later that day, I went to the boardwalk with my family where we ate at a crab shack.  Unfortunately, I am not the biggest fan of seafood, so I opted for their cajun black and bleu burger, which is personally a favorite that never fails.  After that we got some classic boardwalk fries that, as always, did not disappoint.

Saturday...

I was supposed to take a trip to Six Flags with my boyfriend, but stupid thunderstorms ruined our plans.  Instead we took a drive to the mall and had dinner at PF Changs, which he loved!  I didn't know he hadn't been there before, so I think we found a new place we both like.  We walked around for a few hours, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything I liked.  I did take a look into the newly opened Primark, which is crazy cool.  All my favorite UK youtubers post their Primark hauls, and now I can finally be happy that I can get my share too!

Sunday...

was another relax day.  My family and I went to The Turning Point early in the day, and it was a great breakfast as usual.  I just got plain pancakes, but they were great.  My brother got this volcano french toast, and it made me kind of wish I could eat off the kids menu again...  This week I've totally been obsessed with Criminal Minds, which I just discovered.  Usually, I don't like scripted tv shows, but this one grabbed me in a different way.  Crime and prison has always interested me.  Also, I have been watching Big Brother.  Does anybody else watch it?  I'd love to chat in the comments if you do.  Who are you rooting for?  I personally love James, but Paulie lives in the town right by me!  Gotta stay true to Jersey.

What did you do this week?  Do you watch Big Brother?  Do you have a Primark by you?  What flavor coolada is your favorite?

Weekly Makeup #1 : Airy Glow

Welcome back to my blog!

I wanted to try out a different kind of post.  I've seen people do weekly makeup baskets on youtube and I think it's a great way to use different products every week.  I have decided to share my weekly products with you!  Today I wanted to post all the products I'll be using to create a cohesive look.

This week, I went off an wispy look.  For my base, I went with a matte foundation and heavily contoured face.  Although the base is not light or airy at all, I used a shimmery light pink blush, which definitely makes a difference.  I finished it off with a very intense highlight, which is my favorite highlight at the moment.

For my eyes, I used a neutral color and highlight.  I put a little color on the bottom lash with a smudgy olive liner, and I did a small wing on the upper lash line.  I finished off the eyes with some wispy lashes.  I didn't want to overdo the eyes.

The lips are where I really got my idea.  I used a shimmery clear lipgloss, and that is it! It finishes off the look so well.  I feel as it compliments everything and really makes the look go in the direction I wanted it to.
